MONTECRISTO 24H LIMITED EDITION

The 1960 line celebrates the legendary Sixties, the boom years marked by great revolutions, and reinterprets them in a contemporary mode. With its clean and essential design, the collection represents the pure and authentic elegance of Locman and thus finds its place as one of the top lines of the Tuscany-based company, destined for diversification and enduring success.

Montecristo is the iconic Locman collection, the line that encompasses the most prestigious models from the watch company based on the Island of Elba. The collection now welcomes a new 300-piece Special Limited Edition, dedicated to all passionate watchmaking enthusiasts.

The distinctive feature of Montecristo 24 H lies in the single turn of the hand displaying all 24 hours, represented by Arabic numerals and divided by the inscriptions “ante meridiem” e “post meridiem”. Seconds are marked off on the inner bezel ring.

The Island of Montecristo, a symbol of pristine nature surrounded by crystal-clear waters inspired the LOCMAN style centre to develop the collection most representative of the brand. Montecristo is a fascinatingly mysterious island representing the True Spirit of LOCMAN, a powerful and charismatic identity inseparably bound up with Nature and the sea. Viewed from Marina di Campo, directly facing the LOCMAN headquarters, it stands out in all its wild and impregnable grandeur. On clear days when the North wind blows, its profile appears so clearly on the horizon that you can see almost every single rock. When the winds blow from the south, the island seems to disappear, kidnapped by the mist. A perpetual object of desire for sailors, it is notoriously hard to approach and to visit.

Compared with the other models in the collection, Montecristo 24 H features a resolutely different design. The slimmer and more ergonomic 42 mm case in AISI 316L stainless steel ensures a particularly comfortable fit and the Limited Edition inscription appears on its side. The lateral openings accentuate the dynamic nature of the design and give the watch a lighter look and feel.

Endowed with a 40-hour power reserve, the 25-jewel mechanical self-winding 24-hour Swiss Made three hand plus date movement was developed by the Scuola Italiana di Orologeria (S.I.O.),the internal academy of the Locman group, in cooperation with a Swiss artisanal Atelier. This refined work of watchmaking art may be admired through the sapphire crystal pane fitted on the caseback. Water resistance-tested to 10 atmospheres, the case of the Montecristo 24 H is fitted with a natural leather strap featuring contrasting stitching
