LOCMAN PRESENTS THE MONTECRISTO 41 MM: NEW DIMENSIONS AND DESIGN FEATURES FOR THE ELBA-BASED COMPANY’S ICONIC WATCH
Montecristo is an island of mysterious charm. It looms, wild and impregnable, on the horizon that forms the backdrop to Marina di Campo, home of LOCMAN ITALY. And it is this symbol of untouched and crystalline nature that has inspired the LOCMAN style office when developing the brand’s most representative collection which, first launched in the late 1990s, has since undergone important technical and stylistic innovations.
In fact, over the years LOCMAN’s most challenging projects, in terms of the materials used for the cases and in-house movements, have been dedicated to the Montecristo collection.
With the Montecristo 41mm we come face to face with a new stylistic revolution. The design is softer and even more functional: the iconic triple-bar lugs, which in previous models were anchored, form a single block with the case in the Montecristo 41 mm, significantly improving the watch’s stability. The dimensions of the case are notably reduced, from a 44 mm to a 41 mm diameter, in line with the trend for more restrained measurements.
The Montecristo 41 mm comes with a quartz chronograph mechanism or with a self-winding mechanical movement developed by S.I.O. (Scuola Italiana di Orologeria), which can be observed from a crystal pane on the titanium case-back.
The Montecristo 41 mm is water-resistant up to a depth of 100 metres.
The strap is available in hypoallergenic silicone for sportier uses or natural leather, in both cases with a deployant clasp.
