LOCMAN CELEBRATES THE 30TH ANNIVERSARY OF ITS FOUNDING AND LAUNCHES THE MONTECRISTO ANNIVERSARY LIMITED EDITION
LOCMAN was founded on the Island of Elba in 1986. Thirty years have passed and a glance at these three decades reveals a wealth of excellent achievements
including the 2003 launch of the first all carbon case for the NUOVO model, as well as the opening in 2006 of the Scuola Italiana di Orologeria, an internal academy dedicated to training specialised personnel and to creating inhouse movements.
LOCMAN today is a youthful company enjoying ongoing development. Rather than prematurely seeking to take stock of its accomplishments, the priority should probably be on looking towards new horizons, such as research into new materials or the challenge of international markets – whether in the East through the LOCMAN Hong Kong and LOCMAN Japan sister companies; or in the West and particularly the United States, where LOCMAN will subsequently look to affirm its own presence.
To celebrate the important milestone, LOCMAN presents MONTECRISTO ANNIVERSARY, a prestigious mechanical chronograph with a ‘Swiss made’ movement (ETA Calibre 2894-2), produced in an exclusive numbered 300-piece limited edition. In accordance with brand tradition, the choice of model to mark this significant occasion fell on LOCMAN’s iconic MONTECRISTO collection, distinguished by an unmistakably elegant and modern design featuring a broad round steel and titanium case, typical triple-bar lugs, and a flat glass.
The 30th anniversary logo, in a vibrant shade of red making a powerful contrast with the anthracite dial, is placed at 12 o’clock beneath the LOCMAN logo. The running seconds display appears at 3 o’clock, with the chronograph hours and minutes counters at 6 and 9 o’clock respectively. Fitted with an elegant black leather or silicon strap, or a stainless steel bracelet, MONTECRISTO ANNIVERSARY is water-resistant to 10 atmospheres (100 metres).
